Seasonal Christmas Tree & Garland Program for a UK Garden Centre
Mixed PE/PVC artificial trees in three heights, pre-lit garlands and printed gift boxes, sampled, inspected and consolidated into a single 40HQ for a UK garden-centre group.

An operator running a seasonal haunted attraction in Canada, with an on-site shop selling décor to visitors, needed props for two purposes at once. Some pieces would be installed in the attraction itself and handled by staff every night; others would be sold boxed in the shop for home displays.
The operator's main concern was reliability. Animated pieces had to work out of the box, and cartons had to survive long transit and repeated handling during set-up.
We split the range into attraction-grade and retail-grade items. For skeletons used in the attraction, we specified heavier plastic and metal-reinforced joints; retail versions used the standard construction in printed boxes. This kept the shop range affordable while giving the attraction props more durability.
Animatronic suppliers vary widely in module quality, so we requested samples from several factories and compared sensor range, speaker clarity, motor noise and battery compartment design. The chosen supplier offered a sound module with a try-me button for shop display and a screw-secured battery door, which the client preferred for public spaces. We also confirmed that replacement modules could be supplied separately, so the attraction team could repair a unit during the season instead of retiring the whole prop.
Full samples of each SKU were produced within the 7–15 day sample window and sent to the client for hands-on testing. Feedback led to a longer cable on the hanging ghosts and a matte finish on the pumpkins to reduce glare under attraction lighting.
Halloween props combine moulded parts, fabric, electronics and printed packaging, so our QC plan covered each layer.
Where drop tests showed movement inside a carton, we added molded pulp corners and adjusted the inner divider before mass packing.
Because the shipment included battery-operated products, we confirmed packing and documentation requirements with the client's forwarder before booking. Batteries were packed according to the agreed method, and the relevant declarations were prepared in advance so the container would not be held at origin while paperwork was completed.
Attraction props and retail stock were packed and labelled separately, so the operator could route them to different areas on arrival. The program ran over approximately twelve weeks, from first samples to loading, which gave the operator time to install and rehearse before opening.
We supplied packing lists, battery documentation and inspection reports with the shipment. The client now has a tested supplier set for both durable attraction props and boxed retail décor, which can be extended with new characters in future seasons.
For animated Halloween props, comparing electronics modules side by side at sample stage matters more than the look of the prop itself.
